After a long tiring day where his side conceded more than 400 runs at an economy rate upwards of 4, Bangladeshi skipper Mushfiqur Rahim was visibly upset while talking to the media. The captain said, “Our bowlers weren’t up to the standard once again. Once we conceded that many runs with the new ball, it became easy for them. We created a few chances in the last part of the day. Tomorrow we’ll look for early wickets & hope to restrict them within 100-150 more”.
To everyone’s surprise, Musfiq added, “I think it was my mistake to win the toss. It’d have been much better if I lost it”. Unlike other captains preferring to station themselves near the bowlers so that they can talk & guide them, Mushfiq was seen fieldi in the deep areas. To that question, he replied, “I want to make one thing clear. I’m not a very good fielder. The manage told me to field there because I leak a lot of runs.So it was almost impossible for me to motivate them from there but whenever I was within the circle, I tried my best”.
Safe to say, it’s not all rosy dosy in the Bangladeshi camp & under stably so.
