Arguably Bangladesh’s greatest ever export and the top all rounder of all three formats in world cricket, Shakib Al Hasan has achieved yet another amazing feat after being named in the MCC World Cricket Committee. He’s the very first Bangladeshi to have been named in one of cricket’s most vital committees.
Understandably overwhelmed by the association’s decision to include him in the new committee, Shakib posted the letter sent to him by MCC on social media & wrote, “I truly feel humbled that you have chosen me to be a member of the Prestigious MCC World Cricket Committee. Thank you for bestowing me with such an honour.”
Of the ten full members of ICC, as many as eight teams (apart from Ireland & Afghanistan) have had representatives in the committee thus far. The new committee’s chairman will be English great Mike Gatting.
