The ‘war of words’ for the Ashes is gathering pace with Aussie pacer Pat Cummins joining in on the act. He joins his fellow speedster Mitchell Starc who believes England are not quite the same team without all-rounder Ben Stokes who’s been suspended for selection indefinitely as a result of off-field controversies.
Talking on this Thursday, Cummins said, “Hope you practices against bouncers much more as we’ll be bowling a lot of them”. Cummins added, “No batsman in the world likes if the delivery has accurate pace & bounce. Especially them (English batsmen). They usually play on slower wickets with less bounce. Our ability to bowl biuncers gives us advantage in Australia & South Africa. Our batsmen grow up facing bouncers & bowlers become experts in bowling them. I think if the wicket is fast & bouncy, we’ll be benefitted a lot. I think some if us being tall gives us advantage to test them against some chin music. We’d love to replicate what Johno (Mitchell Johnson) did in the 13-14 series”.
First test will start from 23rd November.
