Due to the recent horror shows against South Africa in the ongoing test series, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has decided to think about Mushfiqur’s Rahim replacement in Test captaincy.
The news comes in after some of Mushfiq’s comments in the press conferences, especially blaming his bowlers openly and some comments about the management were not received well by the board at all. Adding all these controversy with the disappointing performances of the team against the Proteas, reports suggest that the board has decided to think about his replacement as test captain of the tigers.
A BCB director reportedly said, “We’re viewing Mushfiq’s performances under the microscope. Some of his comments are not acceptable at all. He’s also making mistakes in the field as a captain. Although we haven’t decided on the replacement, but his performances & decision making is being closely monitored”.
The next mission for Bangladesh in the longest version of the game is against Sri Lanka during December-January in Bangladesh. So, it’s likely that we might see someone other than Mushfiq coming out for the toss in that white jersey of Bangladesh come this December.
