Australia will take to the field on Ranchi tonight to face India in the first T-20 of the series. The Aussies could very well be without their captain Steve Smith after an MRI scan confirmed he had an issue with his shoulder.
Smith did take part in Friday’s penultimate training session. But after feeling pain in the shoulders, he left the field for the scan. Whether the skipper will play or not, the decision will be made just before the toss. In case he doesn’t, David Warner will captain the side.
The Australian staff are confident that this problem of Smith’s is nothing serious & wishes to have him back as soon as the second T-20 on October 10th.
